The X-Men spinoff series Legion is set to premiere on FX in early 2017. But the people over at Marvel appear to be feeling generous, giving us an advance look with two new clips.

We talked about Dan Stevens‘ role in the series in earlier Anglo posts. But if you need a refresher, here’s the gist of it: Stevens portrays David Haller, the son of Professor X. Haller is believed to be mentally ill, diagnosed with schizophrenia, but he realizes the voices he’s hearing are in fact real.

Now that we’ve got that covered, let’s move on to the new clips.

In the first clip we see Stevens and Aubrey Plaza, who takes on the role of Lenny, in what appears to be a psychiatric facility.

They are somewhat entranced by a fellow patient:

While the above clip does give some insight into Haller’s surroundings, the second clip is a little more intriguing. We witness what could be an element of his abilities.

In the below clip there’s a little Freaky Friday situation going on. He kisses a girl (Rachel Keller) and the two swap bodies.

The thing is, he’s telling the story in hindsight to his doctors at the institution. While his doctors may not believe him, we do:

We’re excited to see the extent of his powers and what he does with them.
