On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the premiere of the original Star Trek series, fans took to the Star Trek: Mission New York convention over the weekend to celebrate the long-running franchise in all of its otherworldly glory.

Starting on September 8, the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, BBC America will present a marathon of uncut digitally remastered HD versions of episodes from seasons one and two of the original series. The marathon will run through Sunday, September 11.

Fans ventured to the final frontier of fashion in salute to all things Trek. Here are some snaps.
