There’s a new sci-fi movie releasing this December, with surprisingly little out there about it.

The name of the film is Passengers. It stars Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, two actors you may have heard of? There’s no trailer as of yet. If you go to look for a trailer, and find this, please know it’s not the real deal.

The brief synopsis of the film does give us some insight: Thousands of people are being transported from Earth to a new planet. They’re all in sleep chambers, set to wake up upon arrival. Except, two of the passengers, Lawrence and Pratt, wake up prematurely due to some sort of glitch. About 90 years too early …

The description is definitely intriguing, and it leaves us with a lot of questions. For instance, how long can the two survive on the ship? Is it equipped with a food source? Medical supplies? If not, can they change the course of the ship?

So. Many. Questions.

You may be asking yourself, “When will the movie poster come out?” Well, at least there is a short answer to that: it’s out, and here it is:

While the above is pretty much a character poster and may not reveal a ton, it may mean a trailer is soon (or soon-ish) to follow, with the movie premiering in a few months.

Passengers director Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game) does fill in some of the blanks with this Entertainment Weekly interview, saying, “Every generation has its love story. I feel like this is it.”

Oh, we see, now we know how they pass some of the time (getting romantical).

What do you think of all the secrecy?
