Jessica Jones’ friend Luke Cage has his own Netflix show, along with a newly released trailer to speed us all up on what’s to come.

Cage (Mike Colter) is like Jones (Krysten Ritter), just an everyday New Yorker, living life as best he can, fighting crime, due to his superhuman strength (but pretty average, besides the second part of that description).

But as we see in the below trailer, Cage expresses some doubt, saying, “I’m still not sure what I am. I’m just living my life, day to day.”

Actually, he sounds just like Jones. She didn’t want the responsibility her powers brought her and really just wanted to be left alone. Maybe that’s why they hit it off so well?

But like Jones, Cage can’t ignore his abilities.

You can learn more about how he got his powers in the new trailer below:

The reluctant hero seems to change his tune by the end of the trailer, saying, “You have to fight for what is right every single day.”

The 13-part series, entitled Luke Cage, will premiere on Netflix on September 30, 2016.
