ITV released a “first look” of their upcoming miniseries Victoria, starring Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who, Death Comes to Pemberley) in the title role, about two months ago. The anticipated series will also air in the U.S. on PBS.

We meet young Victoria at the age of 18. The series follows the young monarch from when she inherits the throne in 1837 through her courtship with Prince Albert (Tom Hughes).

In the new trailer we hear someone off-camera, presumably an advisor, saying she is out of her depth. But as we know, Queen Victoria went on to reign for over sixty years, which became known as the Victorian Era.

Even so, there were some rocky moments, at least in the beginning. But like any great leader, she insisted on finding her own way, seen in the below trailer:

Victoria will air in the U.K. in 2016, with the eight-part series hitting the U.S. in 2017. Coleman is joined by Rufus Sewell as Lord Melbourne and Tom Hughes, who takes on the role of Prince Albert.
