This is sort of a two-for-one update: there is a TV series coming out based on director Guy Ritchie‘s 2000 film Snatch, and now Rupert Grint has been confirmed to headline, reports ComingSoon.net.

The series is set to air on Sony’s online Crackle station, which streams TV and film programming. If you’ve yet to hear of Crackle, well, that’s the third bit of news.

The film Snatch was inspired by an actual heist in London and was made up of an all-star cast including Jason Statham, Brad Pitt, Benicio del Toro, Dennis Farina, Alan Ford and Vinnie Jones.

According to ComingSoon.net, Grint is set to take on the role of Charlie Cavendish. His character is described as “dynamic, frustratingly chaotic and utterly posh.” That’s a lot going on in one person.

The TV version will “carry the spirit” of the original film but will be based in its own new world.

While Grint starring in the TV series has just been announced, filming will start as early as next week in Manchester, England. The 10-part series, directed by Nick Renton (The Musketeers, Jericho), is set to premiere in 2017.

If you need a refresher, here’s a look back at the trailer for the original film:

Can you picture Rupert Grint in such a gritty tale?
