Pokémon Go may seem like an overnight sensation to some, but it actually kicked off in the 1990s with the Japanese trading card game.

Whether it’s new to you, or you’re out in the trenches, you won’t want to miss out on the below clip of Sir David Attenborough‘s commentary from previous wildlife broadcasts being mashed up with footage of the video game.

At first glance, it may appear the famed naturalist voluntarily signed up as narrator, but it turns out a crafty Facebooker by the name of Lovin Dublin lined up some of Attenborough’s dialogue with hunting the likes of a Charmander and other animals found in the Pokémon world.
