Kate Winslet is in talks to join Idris Elba in new survival-romance drama The Mountain Between Us, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Didn’t know survival-romance was a thing? Nope, us neither. The movie will tell the story of writer Ashley Knox, engaged to be married, and surgeon Ben Trace, who charter a plane to get them home after inclement weather delays their flight. When the plane crashes in a snowy wilderness, the two must work together to survive.

It’s an adaptation of Charles Martin‘s 2010 novel of the same name, and will be written by Chris Weitz (Star Wars: Rogue OneAbout a Boy) with Paradise Now‘s Hany Abu-Assad directing.

Idris signed up a few months ago, adding to an already impressive slate, including roles in forthcoming movies Star Trek Beyond, Finding Dory and The Dark Tower. If Kate signs too, it’ll make a pairing as exciting as any classic Hollywood duo. Needless to say, the internet is already excited:

Indeed. Expect a decision in the next few weeks: Filming is due to start in British Columbia in December, for a release date some time in 2017.
