We’ve been excited to see the new live-action version of Beauty and The Beast ever since it was announced (not to mention more than a little curious when we discovered the not-at-all-beastly Dan Stevens had been cast as the Beast).

As well as Dan, here’s what else we’re looking forward to seeing: there’s Emma Watson, who’s been perfectly cast as Belle, Luke Evans as the villainous Gaston, and Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice.

And then there are the more, shall we say, challenging roles for any live-action version. There’s the clock Cogsworth, who’ll be played by none other than Sir Ian McKellen; Mrs. Potts the teapot, who’ll be played by Emma Thompson; and the candelabra Lumiere, who in the 1991 Disney animated film welcomed Belle with the song “Be Our Guest” and in this new version will be played by Ewan MacGregor. Not only that, but Stanley Tucci will play Cadenza, a grand piano, a whole new character created especially for this movie.

All of them will star in what’s being touted as a musical fantasy live-action extravaganza, a remake of a well-loved animation in the wake of recent hits such as Maleficent, Cinderella, and The Jungle Book.

Finally, here’s our chance to see what they’ve made of it. The teaser trailer premiered this morning (May 23) on Good Morning America, and promised a first glimpse of the tale as old as time:

Curses! If that isn’t putting the “tease” in “teaser trailer,” we don’t know what is.

Beauty and The Beast opens in theaters March 17, 2017, so expect a lot more teasing where this came from.
