Warning: the following clip has been deemed suitable for work (SFW), but you should know you are about to start grinning like a loon (or, to be more specific, like Silicon Valley‘s Thomas Middleditch in the clip below), and making some very strange noises indeed.
Tom Hiddleston joined James Corden last night (April 25) to discuss his roles in AMC’s The Night Manager and forthcoming movie High Rise, before going on to describe how he first sort-of met other guest Thomas Middleditch, and how the similarity between their names led to some confusion.
(“Tom Hiddleston and Thomas Middleditch” has the ring of a Dickensian double act, don’t you think? That or a pair of notorious gravediggers. Hmm.)
Anyway. If you’re not won over by the big smoothie yet, just wait until you hear the nickname Tom had at boarding school. Are you ready? It was ‘Hiddle Piddle Did a Widdle in the Middle of the Night’.
Kids can be so cruel.
The pièce de résistance, however, came when all three were joined by zookeeper Jack Hanna, who brought with him a few animals that rivaled even the impeccably mannered Brit actor for charm.
Watch and squee:
Needless to say the internet couldn’t cope.
Omg. I'm squealing while watching grown men coo and squeal over baby animals on @latelateshow
