Well, if this isn’t just the perfect casting? According to the Hollywood Reporter, British actor Richard E. Grant (Girls, Doctor Who) has been cast in the third Wolverine movie.

Not much is known about the plot, but we do know that Richard will play a kind of crazed evil scientist. The addition of his character adds further complications for Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), whose nemesis in the new movie had already been announced to be a driven, demanding and lethally smart head of security for a global company played by Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl, Narcos).

First though he’s got an apocalypse to contend with. Wolverine’s claws made a surprise appearance in the latest trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, due in theaters this May, though what this means in terms of the character’s involvement in the movie has not been confirmed.

Wolverine 3 will then be the last solo outing for Hugh Jackman’s character. Also starring Patrick Stewart as the X-Men’s leader Professor X, it has James Mangold at the helm and an expected release date of May 2017.
