Doctor Who: "The Christmas Invasion" (Photo: BBC)

Welcome to the Doctor Who‘s Day Roundup, a gathering together of Gallifreyan geegaws from across a week’s worth of the internet, so you can digest them all in one handy tablet.

And we begin this week with a treat. Over the weekend, David Tennant and Billie Piper appeared at Wizard World Comic Con in St. Louis for a 45-minute Q&A about their respective careers. Naturally, the topic of Doctor Who figured especially high in the questions, and it’s fair to say they had a whale of a time.

Highlights come thick and fast, including the bit where both work out which house they would be in, if they had been to Harry Potter’s school Hogwarts, and the bit where David reveals that his most moving Rose moment was invented by Billie. But the part you’ll probably most want to see is when David expresses his jealousy over Matt Smith getting to hang underneath the TARDIS in Trafalgar Square during “The Day of the Doctor,” the key line being, “Oooh I’m Matt Smith, and I look really cooool!”

Watch a fan-made movie of the whole thing, here:

And if that has left you wanting more convention stuff, there’s a report here from (Re)Generation Who 2, a Doctor Who convention featuring contributions from some of the greats from classic Who, including Peter Davison, Colin Baker (the Fifth and Sixth Doctors), Anneke Wills (Polly) and Nicola Bryant (Peri).

Here’s what else has been going on in space and time this week:

The Doctor Who spin-off Class is starting shooting this week. Written by YA author Patrick Ness, it is set in Coal Hill School, where the Doctor Who story started in 1963, and most recently the educational establishment where Clara Oswald met Danny Pink.

You can read more about the show here—including this quote from Steven Moffat: “Class is dark and sexy and right now. I’ve always wondered if there could be a British Buffy—it’s taken the brilliant Patrick Ness to figure out how to make it happen.” But first, here’s Patrick introducing the cast and set in a video to viewers of BBC Three in the U.K.:
