This is clever: ahead of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s release this Friday (March 25), the folks over at Screencrush have recut the film’s trailer as if it were a sneak preview on a VHS tape back in the mid-’90s. They nail the Don LaFontaine “In a world” voice-over clichés, the bombastic brass-filled score, and, of course, the intermittent screens laden with static. (How do I adjust the tracking on this thing?) This is so lifelike that I almost expected Val Kilmer to emerge from the shadows in his black cape.
