The people of Earth are about to face an apocalyptic force in the next installment of X-Men, but it’s not the kind written about in the New Testament.
We had a brief glimpse of the Apocalypse, believed to be the first mutant, in Marvel’s first look at X-Men: Apocalypse.
Now, we get a better, bigger look at this baddie:
One of our favorite parts of the trailer is when we hear Professor X’s (James McAvoy) pleading voice, saying, “He means to destroy this world, killing billions of people?” It stood out to us because Professor X won’t let that happen, with the help of his X-Men.
Professor Charles Xavier is joined by Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), and Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne), among other familiar faces. We also get a look at a young Storm (Alexandra Shipp).
X-Men: Apocalypse hits U.S. theaters on May 27.
