There has been recent chitchat about Daisy Ridley being considered for the Lara Croft role in the Tomb Raider reboot.

The Star Wars actress could have played coy, but she recently told The Hollywood Reporter she is in fact keen on being a part of the next film adaptation for the video game.

According to the British actress, there have been conversations about her taking on the title role, telling THR, “I’m waiting for someone to say, ‘I want you, let’s do it.'”

She went on to say, “I’m trying to fill up my calendar.”

Her Star Wars co-star John Boyega can see her in the role, too. He told THR, “I played Tomb Raider the game, it’s a new take and I think the movies are going to be based on that version.”

Boyega went on to say, “I texted Daisy [and] was like, ‘This is you!’ And ‘You need to get on that because you could be Lara Croft.’ She should be.”

Angelina Jolie originally starred as the daring archaeologist in 2001’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and 2003’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.

Here’s a look at the trailer for the original Lara Croft: Tomb Raider:

Ridley and Boyega are currently filming Star Wars: Episode VIII. The next installment of Star Wars is set to hit U.S. theaters in 2017.
