Most of us know Emilia Clarke from the hit series Game of Thrones as Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons. We also enjoyed watching her kick butt and takes names in the Terminator reboot in 2015.

Now the enigmatic star is taking on the quirky role of Louisa Clark in the film adaptation of British journalist-turned-romance writer JoJo Moyes’ 2012 novel Me Before You.

When we meet Louisa in the trailer, she’s in between jobs. She had already been placed at a chicken factory and tried hair removal; neither were her thing. She’s desperate and signs on for a caretaker position for a disabled man.

Upon arrival to her new assignment she meets William Traynor (Sam Claflin). Traynor is a young, successful businessman who is confined to a wheelchair after an accident.

Traynor finds his hired companion a bit off-putting at first, but she soon grows on him. She only has six months to work with him, because he’s already made plans of his own:

Yes, that was Doctor Who‘s Jenna Coleman you spotted. She portrays Katrina Clark, Louisa’s younger sister who is a single mother. You can also look for Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), and Janet McTeer (Battle Creek).

Me Before You hits U.S. theaters on June 3.
