The 2016 Oscars have come and gone, but we’re all still talking about them.
The Revenant‘s Tom Hardy was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at this year’s ceremony. And while the award went to Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies), Hardy isn’t wasting any time dwelling on what could have been.
The actor has his hands full with the forthcoming thriller Taboo. He not only stars in the upcoming miniseries, but the eight-part FX program is based on a story Hardy and his father Chips Hardy wrote.
The series is set in 1814, revolving around an adventurer by the name of James Delaney (Hardy). Delaney was thought to be dead, but he surprises everyone when he returns to avenge his father’s death.
Here’s a look at the recently released trailer:
Hardy is also an executive producer, working with Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) and Ridley Scott (The Martian).
You may spot some other familiar faces, including Oona Chaplin (The Hour), Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones) and Michael Kelly (House of Cards).
The series is predicted to release in 2016, airing on BBC in the U.K. and FX in the U.S.
