Leonardo DiCaprio won the 2016 Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama Golden Globe for his performance in The Revenant last night (January 10), but that’s not what people are talking about the day after.

When Lady Gaga passed DiCaprio at the ceremony to accept her award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie for her role as The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel, he sort of recoiled in what looked like fear:

The FX series can be terrifying, but that wasn’t why DiCaprio pulled away.

The American actor was shown the footage backstage, with him saying, “Oh lord, that’s trending, huh?” reports Entertainment Tonight.

The Revenant star went on to say, “I just didn’t know what was passing me, that’s all!”

Aw, well, it happens. We can all be caught off guard, even if on live television.

The exchange didn’t faze Gaga (probably because she had no idea it happened).
