Anyone who was concerned that Arthur Darvill was straying too far back into Doctor Who territory by playing a slightly chippy time traveler with an English accent in DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow need worry no more. The CW has released a new trailer for the show, narrated by Arthur, and it’s clear this is a story that has more of the Terminator about it (with a touch of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) than the TARDIS.

Arthur plays Rip Hunter, who comes back from the future to bring together a team drawn from both sides of the battle for law and order in order to change catastrophic events which are, from their perspective, still about to happen. And of course it takes a little while to convince anyone that it’s a good idea to join up.

The show takes place in the same universe as Arrow and The Flash, which means a free transfer for Arthur’s co-stars Brandon Routh (who plays the Atom), Caity Lotz (White Canary) and Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold).
