There’s no gentle way to introduce this into polite conversation. David Tennant, who as we all know is very game for a laugh, has recorded this skit for a new music TV show airing on the British channel Sky 1, in which he dresses up as Kiki Dee, while Ricky Wilson, the singer with Kaiser Chiefs, dresses as Elton John to belt out a version of their evergreen hit “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.”

I mean, he’s got the cheekbones for it, yes, and the voice is perfectly fine (if an octave too low), but… blimey:

It’s all in aid of the new Sky 1 panel show Bring The Noise, a comedy quiz about music, which starts tonight (October 22). But let’s face it, we’d probably rather see 30 minutes of David Tennant dressed as various pop stars from the 1970s.
