In Back to the Future: Part II, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) took a journey to October 21, 2015. Well, that day has finally arrived, and fans around the globe are celebrating today as Back to the Future Day, using it as an opportunity to compare the film’s vision of the present to the reality. (The Guardian is even live-blogging it.)

BBC News asked some British youngsters to react to the world of 2015 as depicted by the 1989 film, with its hoverboards, airborne cars and hydrated pizza:
