NBC’s Constantine may not have been renewed, but D.C. Comics’ John Constantine will get a second life on the CW’s Arrow, appearing in the episode “Haunted.”

Welsh actor Matt Ryan, who portrays an exorcist who can see angels and demons, has popped into what appears to be his back garden to film a shout-out to the Hellblazer/Constantine/Arrow fans, which you can watch below:

The folks at the CW are excited too, with executive producer Marc Guggenheim saying at the Television Critics Association presentation, “Matt is an incredibly talented actor and his portrayal of this beloved character was always something we admired. The introduction of magic and mysticism on the show this season has provided a truly organic opportunity for us to bring John Constantine to Arrow and the CW’s DC Universe.”

He’s not the only familiar British face returning for the fourth season of Arrow, with John Barrowman reprising his role as Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer.

The fourth season premieres on Wednesday, October 7.
