We understand London Has Fallen is fiction, but it’s still hard to witness the destruction of the majestic city in the film’s trailer.

But our Anglophile hearts can rest easy as it’s clear the nation’s capital is just fine in actuality, and this is the sequel to the 2013 thriller Olympus Has Fallen starring Gerard Butler as a Secret Service agent.

Butler returns to his role as agent Mike Banning, along with Aaron Eckhart as the U.S. President and Morgan Freeman as Alan Trumbull.

The sequel kicks off with the unexpected death of the British Prime Minister, which brings the world’s leaders to London to attend his funeral. Having all these people in one location has trouble written all over it.

You can watch the devastation sweep through London in the below trailer courtesy of LionsGate:

The film is set to be released in the U.S. on January 22, 2016.

Butler has three other films coming out in 2016, including the crime drama Den of Thieves, space thriller Geostorm, and the mythical Gods of Egypt.

Does this make you appreciate London even more?
