It’s funny how a catchphrase can grow out of a simple inability to say your own name the right way around. Ask anyone their name, and if they say their surname, and then their full name, it sounds like they’re doing a James Bond impression. That’s without the suit, without the unique and flinty air of grooming and thuggishness that Bond gives off, without the gun or the license to carry it or any of that stuff.
Surname, firstname surname. That’s all it takes.
So when a new TV trailer for the latest Bond movie Spectre arrives containing the moment Daniel Craig uses his own catchphrase (just as he first did in Casino Royale) to Monica Belucci, it’s worthy of note:
Spectre arrives in theaters on November 6.
