“With great power comes great responsibility.” And, apparently, great athletics.

It was just announced yesterday (June 23) that The Impossible’s Tom Holland will be taking over as Spider-Man for the next installment of the film series, with Andrew Garfield moving on.

With so many actors vying for the role, fans of the films may be wondering, “Why Tom Holland?” It’s not to say he’s a bad choice, but just simply, why him over everyone else?

The Hollywood Reporter mentioned Holland tested better than some of the other actors in the running like Asa Butterfield (Hugo, Ender’s Game).

Holland’s Instagram page gives us some further insight into the decision-making.
