Or Doctor Strangely British, based on the casting thus far.

Deadline is reporting that Chiwetel Ejiofor, star of 12 Years a Slave, is lined up to play a villainous role opposite Benedict Cumberbatch (also a star of 12 Years a Slave) in Marvel’s Doctor Strange.

His role will be that of Baron Mordo, the Doctor’s mortal enemy in the comic book series, although there’s some discussion as to whether his character will be quite so clear cut. The report suggests that Chiwetel’s Mordo will take on some of the traits and motivations of other characters in the magical reality of Doctor Strange.

In the comic books, Mordo is a fellow pupil of the Doctor’s mentor, The Ancient One (set to be played in the film by Tilda Swinton), but they fall out, and Mordo attacks his tutor. This, movie fans will note, is also the basic plot of Kung Fu Panda.

As for Benedict, he plays a lofty neurosurgeon, very contented in his ability. When he is injured in a car accident, he discovers redemption in an undiscovered world of magic and sorcery.

Doctor Strange is set for release on November 4, 2016.
