The wait is over. David Tennant and Olivia Colman make their return to Broadchurch in the season two premiere on BBC AMERICA tonight (March 4) at 10/9c. The townspeople of Broadchurch, a typically quiet English coastal town, reunite for the trial of the accused murderer of a young boy, which played out in season one. In addition to familiar faces like Arthur Darvill, Jodie Whittaker, and Andrew Buchan, we’ll be joined by some new actors:

1. Eve Myles (Claire Ripley)

(BBCA)

Claire Ripley, formerly Claire Ashworth, knows Detective Inspector Alec Hardy (Tennant) from his days prior to moving to Broadchurch. She was married to Lee Ashworth, the main murder suspect in the Sandbrook kidnapping case, in which Hardy investigated. The case was mentioned multiple times in season one, and still haunts Hardy.

Eve Myles starred as Gwen Cooper opposite John Barrowman in the Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood from 2006 to 2011.

Since Torchwood, she’s starred in back-to-back TV series, including Baker Boys (2011), Frankie (2013), and You, Me and Them (2013). Prior to signing onto Broadchurch, Myles was seen in the TV movie Under Milk Wood (2014).
