Freddie Highmore (August Rush) returns as a psychopath in the making for the third season of Bates Motel, starring opposite Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air), premiering on A&E on Monday, March 9.

The series follows the teenage Norman (Highmore) and his relationship with his mother (Farmiga), revealing his fragile psyche, which makes him into the man we know in the film Psycho.

Norman gets quite chummy with his mum Norma, as seen in the new character poster:
