As the year draws to a close the show business world continues to mourn those we’ve lost in 2014. At the Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb premiere, the last film in which Robin Williams appears, Ricky Gervais, who worked alongside him, was asked for his memories.

Gervais said: “He was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, he was an icon when I met him and then he became a friend. He was the sweetest most generous guy, he tried to make you feel good however he was feeling. He gave you his time. He was lovely.”

Gervais appeared pleased with the outcome of the third installment of Night at the Museum, saying, “It’s escapist, it’s great for the family, I’m a big kid at heart and it turned out brilliant.”
