Who wouldn’t want Helena Bonham Carter having their back? In Disney’s Cinderella reboot, Carter turns up as an unsuspecting elderly woman, offering Ella (Lily James), cruelly renamed Cinderella, a pumpkin. At the time, Cinderella has no idea the woman and her pumpkin have magical powers.

The servant girl is soon greeted by Carter in her Fairy Godmother form:

The cast is rounded out with Cate Blanchett as the wicked step mother, Holliday Grainger and Sophie McShera as Ella’s stepsisters, and Richard Madden as a gracious stranger.

What do you think of Helena Bonham Carter’s blonde ambition?
