The Call the Midwife holiday special airs on Christmas Day. (PBS)

The nuns and nurses of Nonnatus House are back in the Call the Midwife Christmas special, airing on PBS on December 25, 2014 at 8/7c. If you need a refresher on the earlier seasons, one through three, you can catch up with our recaps here. The holiday installment picks up with Chummy, played by Miranda Hart, taking charge of the facility after an outbreak of chicken pox. PBS outlines other storylines like an unmarried couple being relocated to a badly managed home for pregnant women, Dr. Turner (Stephen McGann) treating an elderly couple, and from the snaps below, as expected, there’s lots of babies around.
