Carey Mulligan (The Great Gatsby) stars opposite Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex) and Tom Sturridge (The Hollow Crown) in the film adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s Far From the Madding Crowd.
Mulligan’s character, Bathsheba Everdene, has just arrived to a small farming village in 19th century England. She doesn’t utter a word in the trailer, but she has quite an effect on three different suitors: Gabrial Oak (Matthias Schoenaerts), William Boldwood (Sheen), and Sergeant Francis Troy (Sturridge).
