We’re now only a couple of weeks away from being able to go and see Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game, giving the performance that critics seem to think might see him take home one of those nice golden man statues at next year’s Academy Awards.

Luckily for those of us who are currently champing at the bit, a clip from the movie has been released that shows Benedict as Alan Turing explaining some of the principles of his life’s work to a clearly unimpressed Rory Kinnear.

As in the main trailer, a good deal of the dramatic tension comes from the clearly unimpressed figure of authority to whom Benedict-as-Alan is talking. But wouldn’t you love to hear a lecture in which Benedict taught Alan Turing’s theories as Alan Turing?

The Imitation Game comes to U.S. theaters on November 28.
