Yesterday, the full-length trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was released, and it’s a spectacular affair, filled with ominous rumbles, loud booms, dark looks, intimidating armies, tumbling masonry and worrying comments about honor, fortitude and personal choices from all of the main protagonists.

It has been scientifically designed to make the final act of the story of Bilbo Baggins—plus his friend Gandalf, and a magical ring that makes him go invisible—appear to be the most important thing in the history of history itself. And it does a very good job of it too:

Don’t turn it up too loud, you’ll blow your windows out.
