English director Ben Wheatley (Down Terrace, Doctor Who’s “Deep Breath”) must be feeling generous and tweeted some early snaps from the set of his thriller High-Rise, based on J.G. Ballard’s 1975 novel by the same name.
The story revolves around a luxury apartment building, examining what happens to the tenants when they are cut off from the outside world. The film stars some high-profile actors including Tom Hiddleston (Thor), Luke Evans (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), Jeremy Irons (The Words), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Sienna Miller (The Girl), Reece Shearsmith (The World’s End), and Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac).
Unfortunately, none of the actors are included in the photos, but Wheatley gives us a bit of a tease with a somewhat cryptic photo. What do you think is going on this picture with keys flying everywhere?

He didn’t stop there with this tweet of a locked suitcase. Hmm, do one of those keys open it? What do you think is inside the piece of luggage?
Tweeting photos from the set might be contagious with director of photography Laurie Rose getting in on the act:

Here’s a fun fact: the 1987 Doctor Who serial “Paradise Towers” is said to be partially based on the novel’s storyline. You can watch the trailer for that story here.
The release date for High-Rise has yet to be determined.
Do you think Hiddleston plays a good guy or a baddie in this one?
