Vivienne Westwood Designs Miss Piggy’s Wedding Dress
That’s right, longtime singleton Miss Piggy may be walking down the aisle in the upcoming film Muppets Most Wanted, which is set in London, reports Glamour UK. We can’t promise a wedding is going to happen, but there will indeed be a wedding dress designed by famed British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.
Miss Piggy has good taste and sought out one of the most sought-after British designers, saying, “Vivienne Westwood is fabulous, just like moi. When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi’s new movie, Muppets Most Wanted, she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit ‘iffy’ about it was the Frog.”
Westwood has dressed many high-profile people including British Royals Princess Eugenie and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. As well, Westwood was kind enough to send over a dress to Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) as a surprise gift in the 2008 Sex and the City film.
Miss Piggy’s dress is not only stunning but environmentally sound, having been made from recycled plastic bottles. Westwood didn’t stop at the couture dress, making sure Miss Piggy looked smart in a houndstooth coat and matching beret.
Kermit the Frog has yet to make a comment on the engagement.
The Muppets film hits theaters on March 28, 2014, also starring Ricky Gervais and Tina Fey.
Who wore it best? Miss Piggy or Carrie Bradshaw?
