If there was any doubt that Idris Elba was the man, Vanity Fair demolished it with the cover of their annual Hollywood issue, shot as usual by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. Elba, a Golden Globe winner for BBC AMERICA’s Luther and star of this season’s Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, holds court on the glossy magazine’s front cover panel, black tux’d and white bow-tied, with his trademark insouciant smile.

But look who’s perched in his lap, with legs as long as the Oklahoma panhandle? None other than Pretty Woman herself, Ms. Julia Roberts, an Oscar nominee for August: Osage County. And she looks like she’s having the time of her life. Can you blame her really?

Elba shares the cover fellow Brits Chiwetel Ejiofor and Naomie Harris (Winnie to Elba’s Nelson in their biopic). But the other stars featured aren’t too shabby either: George Clooney looms behind Idris and Julia, with Jared Leto, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o (in sparkling gold), Brie Larson, Chadwick Boseman, Margot Robbie, and Lea Seydoux filling out the three-panel cover.

The issue hits stands February 11.
