Liam Payne, 20, one-fifth of the boy band One Direction, had some mates visiting from his hometown of Wolverhampton, England. It seems the lads got up to some antics and snaps ended up on Twitter.

Payne sent out a plea to fans to stop coming around his house tweeting:

In very British form, he followed up that tweet with an apology having felt like he was being curse:

Then … things got real. A photo of Payne standing on the ledge of a high-rise building popped up:

Followed by a tweet from Payne expressing regret:

And an apology from the boybander (we see a trend here):

And, as they do, the photo has been turned into a Meme:

Maybe Payne was called up there by the Bat-Signal? (Twitter)

Wow, he got dressed pretty quickly. (Twitter)

We have a sneaky feeling that this just might be Payne’s alter ego based on his choice of Halloween costume:

Is that Bruce Wayne or Liam Payne under that mask? (Express Newspapers/AP Images)

… choice of birthday cake:

“Thumbs up Batman, it’s me birthday!” (DD)

… even facial hair:

“I moustache you a question, what do you think of my Batee.” (1D)

Is this just a case of “boys will be boys”?

Or, does Batman/Liam Payne owe it to his fans to be a better role model?
