Jamie Dornan is fast becoming a household name and we’re not the only ones who have noticed. Dornan has come in at number one on the RadioTimes.com poll of new talent, based on 9,773 votes.

Why so hot? Dornan garnered a lot of attention for his role as a serial killer in BBC2’s The Fall, also starring Gillian Anderson. One of the creepiest things about his character was that he was just so damn normal and, stating the obvious, handsome. Yes, yes, we know killers come in all shapes and sizes but we’re guessing his approachability was part of the scare factor and ultimately, his draw.

Dornan being cast as Dorian Grey in the film adaptation of E.L. James’s erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey, upped his star power. So, even if people weren’t quite familiar with his work on The Fall and the U.S. series Once Upon a Time, well, they got to know him once the announcement was made.

In addition to his acting, which includes more credits but the above are the doozies, Dornan has been spotted in his knickers on Calvin Klein billboards and magazine adverts, which may have helped his “visibility”.
