‘Doctor Who’ 50th Anniversary Special: First Official Cast Photos Released

“The Day of the Doctor” is upon us, and we’ve finally gotten our hands on official cast photos from the long-awaited Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, which premieres in a global simulcast on BBC AMERICA Saturday, November 23.

The new snaps feature a trio of Doctors — Matt Smith‘s Eleventh, David Tennant‘s Tenth and John Hurt‘s enigmatic “rogue” Doctor — in the TARDIS. We also see a bit of the Doctor’s death-defying dangle from the TARDIS above London’s National Gallery. In one final picture, Clara (Jenna Coleman) and the Brigadier’s daughter Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) gaze dramatically upward. (Notably absent from these pictures is Billie Piper, who is returning alongside Tennant for the special.)
