Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘The Fifth Estate’

A new trailer has emerged online for The Fifth Estate, Bill Condon’s retelling of the story of the dramatic events surrounding the news and information site WikiLeaks, and its controversial founder Julian Assange.

And rather than reveal too much of the film itself, this little featurette simply asks the director and his cast – Benedict Cumberbatch, Laura Linney, Daniel Bruhl, Stanley Tucci, but sadly nothing from Peter Capaldi– to explain what it is about this still-unravelling story that made them want to be involved.

Oh, and why it is called The Fifth Estate:

The Fifth Estate is in theaters on October 18.
