The BBC and PBS Masterpiece livened up our Friday nights (August 2) by releasing their teaser trailers for Sherlock‘s third season, which doesn’t have a premiere date yet. These 30 seconds cleverly tease the reactions of the show’s principal characters to Sherlock’s return from “the dead,” while Holmes himself (Benedict Cumberbatch) lingers throughout as a shadowy figure. But what’s got Twitter abuzz is the sandy tuft of a mustache we see on John Watson (Martin Freeman). (This shouldn’t entirely come as a surprise: set photos had spoiled this particular follicular development. And apparently it’s a temporary one.)
