Ricky Gervais (The Office) was “having a laugh” on his Twitter feed and asked fans the dubious question, “Seriously, who’s better looking?”, referring to himself or Johnny Depp. Why Depp?
The two had a minor scuffle during the Golden Globes last year but since then Depp has appeared on Gervais’s HBO show Life’s Too Short. So that’s all in the past, right? Well, it’s been said a few times, here and there, that the Pirates of Caribbean star is sort of good looking. Possibly Gervais was cheekily testing the loyalty of his fans?
Gervais asked followers to vote for “Cool Gervais” by retweeting and to vote for the “Ugly Depp” by clicking on favorite. As of now, here are the results: Retweets = 1,431 Favorites = 1,636

Gervais definitely has a presence on Twitter and uses it to engage with fans. In the below post, he reminds readers it’s just a bit of fun and not to take things too seriously and turn into trolls:
Guys, when I reply to someone it’s for fun. I’m never offended by them. Please don’t heap hate on anyone for saying something a bit daft.
