John Barrowman Teams Up with ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Creator Shonda Rhimes

John Barrowman (Torchwood, Doctor Who) is teaming up with self-professed Doctor Who fan Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Grey’s Anatomy, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Rhimes has cast Barrowman to appear in her latest show Scandal, a political thriller starring Kerry Washington, which airs on ABC at 10pm Eastern. He will appear in the May 9 episode but little is known about his character.

While the show is tight-lipped about his role, Rhimes wasn’t shy in letting people know how keen she was having him on set, heading to her Twitter page to sing his praises:
