Stephen Fry, British actor/comedian/writer/game show host, has signed on to the U.S. pilot Super Clyde also starring fellow Brit Ruper Grint (Harry Potter), reports Deadline.com.
Grint plays a mild-mannered fast food worker who decides to take charge of his life by becoming a super hero. Fry takes on the role of his sidekick, Randolph, the butler.
Why does a fast food worker have a butler? It sounds like he’s following in the footsteps of Batman himself. The comedy comes across as a Batman-spoof with Clyde basing his crime fighting on the fictional superhero.
Fry had a recurring guest role on Fox’s Bones but this is his first time co-starring in a U.S. series.
The pilot is in pre-production andf the air date is TBD.
Do you have any suggestions for Fry’s costume?
