RadioTimes.com has the skinny on the new Radio 4 production of Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, revealing a first look at the Britlicious cast made up of Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), James McAvoy (X-Men), Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones), Sophie Okonedo (Doctor Who) and David Harewood (Homeland).
Neverwhere first aired in 1996 on BBC Two as a television program. The story is set in what’s called London Below versus the actual city of London, which is considered London Above. The residents of London Below are not visible to those who exist in London Above. Things get tricky when toggling between the two different cities.
The TV series was then put into novel form. And, now, radio. Fans of the stories just can’t get enough.
The six-part radio series begins with an hour-long episode on Saturday, March 16, followed by five 30-minute installments beginning Monday, March 18 on Radio 4.
