We have some good news and some bad news. How about the bad news first? Michael Fassbender, 35, (Shame) has split from his Shame co-star girlfriend Nichole Behair, 27.

What’s the good news? … he’s single!

The two have been together for about a year since meeting on the set of their sexy yet gritty film. Their romance didn’t begin until post-production when promoting the film. Those long, tedious days of press junkets probably gave them something to cling to each other over.

Here’s a look at their on-screen chemistry.

Alas, the relationship has come to an end with Behair getting the word out on Twitter writing: “Yes, it’s true. Fassbender and I are no longer dating.”

Woah, Twitter seems sort of high school-ish in this sense. It’s like, “If I say it on Twitter first then I have the upper hand.” Or, is that just us?

Maybe he’ll take some time off from dating for some bro-time as seen here getting comfy with co-star Ryan Gosling (Untitled Terrence Malick Project).
