So THIS Is What The TARDIS Looks Like Now…
The Doctor in his new-look TARDIS
We knew there would be a fair few changes in the next episode of Doctor Who, not least that he would be wearing a new coat and travelling with a new companion, but was anyone honestly prepared for this?
It’s the new-look TARDIS, with hexagons on the walls, a bank of lit switches behind (or in front of, depending on where you are) the central console, and a central console that no longer looks like the Doctor had to remake it out of stuff he found in a Victorian branch of Staples.
It is, in short, a modernisation of his former steampunk aesthetic, which is strange, given that the Doctor himself has started dressing in a more old-fashioned way, much more like his eighth incarnation, to these eyes.
Can’t wait to hear what they’ve done to the theme tune now…
