Some people count down the days to Christmas at this time of year. Here at Anglophenia, we’re also counting down the days until the start of Downton Abbey’s third season on Jan. 6 on PBS.
Primary members of the cast of the British period drama, nominated this year for both Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards for best series, visited the U.S. recently to promote the show.
Stopping by ABC’s The View last week to chat about all things Downton were cast members Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Carter (who juggled!), Rob James-Collier, Joanne Froggatt and Sophie McShera, who perched on the morning program’s aqua marine couches.
The View’s Barbara Walters chided Bonneville, who plays Lord Robert Crawley on the show, for wearing jeans, saying his sartorial choice wasn’t very lordly. When it came her turn, Joy Behar quizzed James-Collier, who portrays conniving Thomas Barrow, about locking lips with men on the show.
Who is your favorite Downton Abbey cast member?
