WATCH: New ‘Star Wars’ Director Accidentally Confirmed
Is Matthew Vaughn taking over the Star Wars franchise as director? (AP)
English actor Jason Flemyng (X-Men: First Class) made a red carpet “hiccup” when stopping by the premiere of Seven Psychopaths. He was chatting up the folks at the film site HeyUGuys.co.uk and mentioned his pal English director Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass; X-Men: First Class) may throw him a bone and offer him for a role in the new Stars Wars flick saying, “”Me and Matt have done nine films together, so I’m sure I’ll get the call for Star Wars.”
Wait, what?
The follow up question was basically, “Is Matthew interested?” Flemyng was about to confidently answer the question and then, almost simultaneously, realized what he had said. He was a bit speechless, cringed and shrugged his shoulders. It was pretty brilliant but we hope he doesn’t get into any trouble over it. In his defense, it was a cold night. Possibly he had brain freeze. See what went actually went down in the clip below.
Do you think Vaughn has the job?
